Midi file as startup music?

Is there a way to get a midi file to play as the startup music in gameex, or is that file type not supported?

it will be best into mp3 as its compressed wav files tend to be huge

The Sound FX in GameEx have to be WAV's. Arcade Ambiance (Looping background sound) has to be a MP3.

I converted the midi to mp3, and have it playing from my media player playlist instead of the loop. This allowed it to start when I open gameex, and I was still able to stop it if I wanted. Thanks for the responses
