I've been using GameEx now for about 2 months (since I finished my cabinet) and love it. I just recently decided to add music videos to the cabinet and I'm having a problem with the display. The mpgs I'm using are 4:3 aspect ratio, but when GameEx plays them, it doesn't lay them at full screen. It seems to play them as if they were a vertical MAME game (tall and skinny).

I've searched around the forums and haven't found anything like this, it's puzzled me for a couple of days.

Anyone have any ideas?

Was this question a stumper? I've still had no success getting the video to display properly and I've found no settings in the configurator. If I'm not explaining something properly, let me know.

GameEx uses your installed DirectShow filters to playback videos. Do they play fine outside of GameEx in the default video player of your cabinet? Do you have a working mpeg 1/2 codec installed?

Yep, they play fine and full screen in Windows Media Player.

I should add to the description of my problem, that the monitor is a 27" Television.

Does it play fine on a computer crt using gameex?

That I have not tried. Everything else on GameEx (MAME) plays at full screen just fine though.

Works fine on a computer CRT. Media Player plays the files fine on the 27" TV. The message as the video comes up is Original Aspect Ration, not zoomed.

I've sort of given up on WebEx for this, and now just using WM Player.
