Jukebox questions

1. Am I missing something on getting the jukebox to actually shuffle my playlist? Not matter what song I start with, GameEx starts the same list of 7 or 8 songs in the same order every time.

2. Is there a way to assign keys to skip tracks when I'm playing a game? (I have the previous and next track buttons working from GamEx menus, but want to skip tracks when a MAME game is running for example)

Hi, maybe a bug  but how exactly are you using the Jukebox? Please also provide the log file.

Changing tracks is supported in game but in order to not interfere with the running process only official keyboard media controls are supported. Not all keyboards have these keys. I guess if you wanted to you coud code a script to map these keys.

I have my music library in media player, and I have all the tracks added to a playlist called "arcade". I'm opening GameEx, and then launching the jukebox by selecting a track. That track plays, and then the jukebox starts to play "random" tracks, which are the same tracks in the same order every time. I've attached the log file.

My keyboard does have the media controls on it, I'll give those a shot when I play later today.

The media controls on my keyboard do allow track skipping so that's a step in the right direction, but I'm still puzzled by the non-random shuffle that the jukebox does after completing a queued track or tracks...

I have not had a chance to look yet. I am assuming its a bug I need to fix.
