I have done a fair amount of searching the forums before posting. I saw a guide (possibly two) on how to integrate Steam as an emulator. I saw the issues about returning to GameEx prematurely. All I want to know is exactly what Gameex looks at to populate the steam list. I thought it was the uninstall registry and so I have been re-adding keys to it to get a fair number of my games back. (Re-installed windows and just pointed steam at the existing library, so registry items were missing). For the life of me, I can't get Street Fighter V to show up. So I am hoping for clarification on how it gets populated so I can possibly manually fix this.

Hi Tom,

I appreciate you taking the time to respond. I could re-install the games, but that would mean re-downloading 100s of gigabytes from Steam servers unnecessarily since the games run from the steam client as is without issue. They were on a non-OS drive and when you add the location back to steam, it recognizes them immediately. The games then work but it doesn't re-populate the registry with the keys necessary for the games to show up in the program list. I have been adding the keys manually, and for the most part, that seems to have worked in adding the game to the GameEx menu. However, for some reason, I hit my first game where it didn't. It takes me considerably less time to populate the information then re-downloading 50gb games. So, because it didn't work, I figured that maybe gameex was looking somewhere else for installed steam games.

This is where I assumed that GameEx was looking:

Computer\HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Uninstall\Steam App {appid}

Ill have a look and try and explain what it is looking for in the source. A little wrapped up right now so please give me some time. Feel free to remind me if I don't get back to you.

Thank you.

Seriously, much appreciated Tom, thank you. Recently hopped over from Maximus Arcade and I have to say, I am loving all the features of GameEx. Trying to squeeze all the functionality I can out of it. Already though, it's just made the whole F/E experience so beautiful comparatively.
