DVD Player Screws Up System

Hey all. My problem is that whenever I use the DVD player in GameEx, it disables my video and distorts, or even shuts off my sound. Now, I have tested the DVD on just the dvd software on my pc, and it runs perfectly. What exactly could be the issue here?

Have you get the dvd codec setup in Multimedia/HTPC in the user config app

also what dvd Player do you use ob your pc
