[Unresolved]HitMan.Pro Issue (unable to play at all).

Hey, I used to play GameEx YEARS ago, and I decided to try it again, but whenever I start it, HMP detects it as malware and shuts it down. Error is in attachments. GameEx is  version 15.26.

My runitgame.bat is as follows:

setupwizard.exe -arcademode

 

I ran the .bat just fine.

 

Any  help would be appreciated. More info happily given as needed.

I've never heard of hitman pro. Can't you just exclude the gameex folder?

I don't know how to exclude a folder, but excluding GameEx.exe doesn't work. Even disabling Exploit mitigation doesn't work.

I don't know. Like I said never heard of the software. Sounds like it will generally cause a lot of problems for any kind of launcher or front end though.

I'm not sure that will help. It looks like the software has an issue with launching any kind of batch file.

Any frontends to try, that may exhibit the same problems? I want to see if it's confined to just this one program.

Try launching data\runitgame.bat from explorer.

Lots of front ends buddy. Not going to go out of my way to suggest the competition though

Gotcha. Running the .bat file from explorer works. Just for testing purposes, Retroarch has no problems.

Can you recommend a way to make a program that'll launch a .bat?

No worries but again you've indentfied the problem yourself and its not a GameEx issue. Its the hitman software.

I'm probably going to lock the topic soon. Again nothing to do with GameEx.

Most good virus software allows you to exclude a folder from scanning but I've never even heard of hitman until now.

The issue is probably because the SetupWizard is set to launch as admin from a batch file. Its not supposed to do that anymore with recent versions of GameEx but its not a bug for me to fix.
