What am I doing wrong? Screensaver says I'm pressing keys!!

I know it's not a deal breaker and all the benefits of using Gamex far out weigh the problems with my screensaver in Gamex.

Even when I've disabled PS2 analog joystick and/or mouse the log still says it's detected a Keypress! Mame gets to decoding and initialising then drops back to Gamex.

Please help! It's really great to see the random games as a screensaver.

I've attached my log if that helps. Couldn't upload attachment. :(

Using Mame 107 & Gamex 6.53 (despite the mame folder saying 090b)

Hey in your gameex config do you have it Skip disclaimer and Warnings enabled? cause with this active I believe It emulates left&right strokes and types ok ok ok ok.. this could be the cause.

I've seen this problem aswell. In my case it reported key detection 34:52 which I think indicates 4 has been pressed. It didn't matter what I had skip disclaimer set to, I couldn't get the screensaver to work (both versions 6.53 and 6.39 which I know had a working screensaver...).

A reboot cured this problem for me and allowed sklip disclaimer to be left at YES.

Tom: Don't think I had a sticky key as I checked with a keyboard tester program. May be a small problem with keyboard detection / corruption in keyboard buffer???

It may be some sort of keyboard buffer glitch indeed. I should point out that I'm using a KVM switch between two pc's but thats never interfered in any inputs on any other fronts. If I experience any stickyness in the keyboard buffer on the screen saver front I'll let you know.

Have seen the occasional time I fire up Gamex to find it moving to the bottom of the menu and staying there till I restart Gamex. Very rarely this happens I should point out.

It may be some sort of keyboard buffer glitch indeed. I should point out that I'm using a KVM switch between two pc's but thats never interfered in any inputs on any other fronts. If I experience any stickyness in the keyboard buffer on the screen saver front I'll let you know.

Have seen the occasional time I fire up Gamex to find it moving to the bottom of the menu and staying there till I restart Gamex. Very rarely this happens I should point out.

I've seen the menu glitch aswell. For me it occured in the jukebox albums list. I'd could navigate up and down the list, but when I stopped navigating, it 'bounced back' to an album beginning with "A". A reboot cleared this problem aswell.

As you say, it happens very rarely...
