GameEx.exe Missing

I just did (another) fresh install and it worked fine. I did the setup, configured Mame and now the GameEx.exe file is missing.  Why would this happen?   Why would it be removed?

I had an exclusion setup with my virus protection. I never got a warning that their was an issue. I just looked and the exclusion is not there now.  I'll re-add it and see if that will fix the issue. 

Stupid Virus Protection. :)
