I recently loaded the new mame version I notice when loading a rom it displays a loading the initializing message. Does anybody know how to disable this?

dont think you can disable it. even if you could you would still have a delay whilst it loaded! id prefer to keep it personally, at least then id know the pc hasnt locked up.

The thing is in my computer the games load in a second or so you see the loading on the screen for a fraction of a second and I just find tidious, i went through all the trouble of disabling the other displays to now have this annoying little on.

before you either had a windows progress bar (if you use mamegui) - looks crap, or a blank screen (bad, dont know whats going on, esp for big games)
