I finally got my daphne setup and working great, but am wondering how, if it is possible to control it with my gamepad (Logitech Cordless Rumblepad 2). I see in the config that there is an option to map a gamepad to it, but i'm not sure what the buttons are mapped to when this option is on. Is it possible to map them myself somehow? I'm sure i'm not the only one to want to do this, but a search here and on google reveals nothing.

Hi, I think it just uses the first button on the pad, and a couple more for credits and player start. I think Daphne may support a gamepad now anyway but I'm not sure.

It's not currently possible to change the mapping.

I was going to tell you to just use the daphne loader to configure the buttons, but I see that you can assign all buttons except U,D,L,R. Very odd. I suppose you could try the keytojoy or joytokey program (whatever its called) to assign these buttons but it sounds like a big hassle to me. Maybe someone with some experience with that program could help you, or like Tom said, it just can't be mapped.

I was thinking of using JoyToKey, but there doesn't seem to be a way to launch it with Daphne only like the other emulators. As I use my gamepad also for menu navigation, etc. leaving JoyToKey open all the time really isn't an option. I'll have to play with the Daphne loader config though and see if it meets my needs in this way. I saw it a ton of times, but the idea to use that really never clicked for me.

Yes Daphne supports gamepads. I have mine setup for my IPAC. But plugging in a joystick still works.
