I am setting up Gamex to play Daphne Laserdisc titles, but I can't nail down the play preview videos, show flyers.... feature yet. I downloaded the EmuMovies Laserdisc videos (.avi files - they play no prob in Win Media Player) and set the "Daphe Snap/Video Path" to that folder. I did the same for flyers (except I downloaded them from another source as .jpg files) I assummed that if the file names matched the ROM name that the previews/flyers features would work. Unfortunately, neither do. Are there any other settings I am overlooking?

Thanks in advance.

What about my other assumptions? Was I correct with the naming conventions having to match the rom names?

Hi,

I have the same problem... :(

My picture are all in .png format.

I have about 20 emulators which use avi, snap, titles, cartridge, etc, and all work fine.

But as for the daphne emu nothing appear. Could someone show me the exact naming I need to use, please.

Thanks in advance for any help.

Your images must match the rom name to be 100%. For example, Dragons Lair has several versions that you can choose from. The default is dlair but the most commonly used is dlair20. Whatever version you pick, you need to have the media match exactly for a guaranteed match. So, your artwork should be dlair20.png, the avi should be dlair20.avi, etc.

Thanks for helping ;)

It's working now.... :)

My problem was that the pathnames we're wrong (spelling mistakes). Normally, GameEx doesn't start when a path is not correct. But it seems that the Daphne (flyer, cpanel, snap/avi, titles, etc) are not checked. So I assumed my path we're correct since GameEx was starting. But they we're not.

Everything is fine now :P

I converted all the png pics to jpeg's to reduce the size and they work the same and have no noticeable quality loss. Naming is usually the reason a specific snap/video won't show not format as much.
