Hi

I just borrow this thread instead to create a new one, as i have similar problem and i also use Mess/vectrex.

What command option do i need to add in Gameex, so the overlays change to the right one when i start a game. Now i have to change overlay manually in the menu with tab key and next time i start the emulator, the last overlay i choosed shows up.

I have tried with -view option but seems not work for me.

Any ideas?

Sincerely

Hi

I have now tried this setting, but it still will not work for me, i have also unzipped the overlay archive and also checked that the overlay for each game ,have the same name as the game rom.

Does this setting work for the someone, so the overlay change to the right game you choose to play?.

I'm working on it...seems the overlays MUST be in a zip file in the "artwork" folder next to the execteabe...I've thus far have not been able to relocate the artwork for this system.

Heh kind of cool little system tho.

Once I get it figured out...then maybe I can get it set to run on the correct monitor. :)

I have the overlays in the Artwork folder, tried both zipped and unzipped.

I downloaded the overlays from here Vectrex

You should be able to find all the required files and help here.

The above link has rom images (legally distributed) named to match the names used by the OverLays...so you only need to make a map file so that every thing humanly readable. :)

I thought MESS compatibility was flawed and for whatever reason Vectrex overlays don't work anymore? I'm like 99.9% sure about this as this was the case in 0.106 MESS.

You use MESS to emulate Vectrex. There should be an INI already in the setup if I'm not mistaken...

I have vectrex working in MESS. I mean, in the GE configuration manager, there is no 'vectrex' or 'GCE vectrex', etc. - to then select paths for MESS or anything else.
