Confused N00b - Gamex won't open

I have a very modern/fast machine and when I first installed Gamex it loaded right up. I just want to use it for Daphne and don't even have any MAME Stuff installed. I noodled with settings and couldn't get Gamex to run again. So I uninstalled and reinstalled (made sure that config folder was cleared before reinstalling).

Now all I get is the "Nag" message for a few seconds, a black screen, then the game kicks out.

And yes, I tried searching forums/FAQ for info but didn't find anything. (Feel free to point out the obvious to me!

You have to manually add each game for Daphne, if that's all you're using GameEx for, what's the point of using it? Why not just make MC shortcuts or something to that effect? You have to manually set up each game anyways.

As far as the problem goes, go into the configuration, disable everything, see if it starts up, if it does, enable what you want one at a time (which will be short if all you are using it for is Daphne), then you should know where your problem is.

Most of the time when GameEx fails to load for me, it's because I have an incorrect path to the roms. If it can't find the roms, it kicks out.
