Intro music and another question

My first question is, I am trying to play a music file when gameex load instead of the default one that plays. I have browsed for the file found it, but gameex still plays the ambience or whatever. The file is a midi file, and I'm guessing that is the problem. Does game ex support playing that type of file. If it does what else could I be doing.

Second question is about a trackball on a laptop. I can get my logitech trackball to work fine on my desktop, but when I try to play games on the laptop it simple won't recognize it. Mame wants to used the touch pad instead of the attached trackball. I have even disableed the touchpad in the mouse settings and it still won't work in game. Any suggestions?
