rablack97
Hello, Anybody encounter pbfx3 going back to main menu at table select on selection of first table at bootup. Once table is selected the screen rotates then asks to press enter, then automatically rotates back to cabinet mode and then boots to main menu instead of the table. When i navigate to the games screen and exit, then select same table again, it boots in cabinet mode right to the table. If i shut my PC down and reboot to the same table, it goes to the main menu again. It doesnt hold the state like PBFX2 does.
Michael Meehan
I'm seeing the same issue. It seems to happen after the Steam client restarts. I suspect it's related to some synchronization that occurs with Steam during PBFX3 start-up. It only happens on the first launch of PBFX3 after a Steam restart. After that, PBFX3 launches directly to the table with correct cabinet rotation as long as Steam stays running.
rablack97
Are you running offline or online mode?
Michael Meehan
Thanks rablack97. That was a good tip. I normally run Steam in offline mode (to prevent auto-updates from breaking something in my cabinet set-up). I put Steam in online mode and launched PBFX3, which asked to sync my cabinet settings with Steam. I uploaded my cabinet settings and now all is good. I can reboot the cabinet, auto-start Steam in offline mode, and initial table launches work fine.

rablack97
How did you get that stupid steam offline popup to stop...when you reboot the popup comes up when you put it back to offline mode
Michael Meehan
In (Steam Directory)/config, open the loginusers.vdf text file and change SkipOfflineModeWarning from "0" to "1". You might also want to change WantsOfflineMode from "0" to "1". Then, build a Startup folder shortcut that launches Steam as follows: "Steam.exe -offline -silent" After updating loginusers.vdf, you'll want to make it read-only or Steam will set the parameters back. A more elegant approach that doesn't require setting the loginusers.vdf file to read-only would be to write a Steam start-up script that edits the individual parameters each time before launching Steam. That way, other user changes made within the Steam UI will stick and interactions with Steam outside the start-up script will operate completely normally.
