I have FX2 running perfectly with backglass and pinDMD v3. Next up is Future Pinball. A little painful to get going last weekend but got it running correctly. It runs great inside PBX but I have a few issues.

When I launch a table, PBX shows loading and then temporarily drops back to the wheel menu and waits for the table to finish loading. Once the table loads it displays and runs perfectly. Is this normal?

When I hit Esc to exit the game PBX is minimized. I have to click the icon from the task bar to display the wheel menu again. How do I fix this? I've attached my log file. What is this access denied stuff? I have unblocked and turned off user access control on everything I can think of? Also uploaded the XML and ini file

Thanks!

Harry

You should see the table's splash screen and a progress bar when loading. Every executable related to your pinball setup should be set to run as administrator including PinballX, FPLoader, Future Pinball, anything and everything else. If that doesn't work, try the official version of Future Pinball

Assign Exit Emulator to some other key aside from Esc. Then start getting used to always using that key to quit out of an emulator app. Q is good.

To exit the FP table requires Esc. I tried assigning other keys but only Esc worked. Isn't that hard coded inside FP? I tried using the original FP exe and took FPloader out of the launching but I got the same results. Still got the denial in the log file. Everything is set to run as ADM - I think? I don't need permission to run any programs. EDIT Friday AM: What does this mean in my PBX log?

I don't do Windows programming so I have to see what the Access denied means?

c:\Games\Future Pinball\BAM\FPLoader.exe /open "c:\Games\Future Pinball\Tables\ACDC ULTIMATE 102.fpt" /play /exit /arcaderender /STAYINRAM

FP loads fine, but PBX drops back to the wheel menu temporarily, then goes back to the table after it finishes loading. It looks like PBX or Windows doesn't like something? Different user access levels for each program causing this? (I will have to check after work today) Are those FP command line switches OK?

SATURDAY UPDATE -  I moved PinballX and Future Pinball over to my D drive and got rid of the process denied access error. Why that worked I have no clue?

Now, I can launch a table from Game Manager but when I try it off the wheel menu it won't launch? Could you guys check my settings - especially the config file. Other than setting paths and parameters  I haven't touched any other settings from the new install.

OK, after a little help from a tall Dos Equis draft I set FPLoader to XP service pack 3 compatibility mode and I can now launch the tables. It ain't pretty but it works. The Wheel menu says launching, disappears for a bit and then the wheel menu reappears and stays on top until after the table fully loads.

[RESOLVED] I removed the XP compatibility on Future Pinball.exe and FLLoader.exe and made sure the scaling at higher DPI was disabled on both. PBX now launches tables correctly. Thanks to TerryRed for letting me know the XP compatibility is not needed to be set as it caused him problems with his Win 10 Pro.
