I am using FreezeSMS as my emulator for GameGear as all the other emulators do not go into real fullscreen mode. All other emulators have a box outside of the GG screen where this emulator is actually fullscreen.

Anyways, this emulator is a bit of a pain to configure with GameEx. I can't find any command line options for this emulator to just launch the game. It has an explorer-like browser that loads whenever freezesms starts. It highlights the game, then from there I can hit tab twice, then enter & it will launch the game, however I am having problems with the sendkeys option in GameEx.

Any assistance would be appreciated. Thanks in advance.

Anyone?

Sorry...

I was unable to find any command line related info for FreezeSMS, so I can't help ya. :(

I'm not too great at the sendkeys thing either.

Perhaps someone here can explain that feature for both of us. :)

If you want an easy / temporary solution, grab KEGA until someone helps you set that up.

Sorry I couldn't help ya... :(

Well I just downloaded and read the documentation to come up with the answer. This is what was taken from the whatsnew.txt:

Added commandline support. To use, rename core.dat to core.exe and type "core romname.sms"

So following those instructions the command-line would be:

core.exe [ROMPATH]\[ROMFILE]

Note: Notice there are no quotes around the file name that a majority of emulators require. Using them would cause an error so using the suggested command-line makes it run just fine from GameEx. I have tested and verified this method.

Thanks for the answer but it seems that something is wrong.

I have renamed the core.dat file whit command and edit, then i got core.exe and core.dat. I checked the size of them and both had same size, so I deleted core.dat. I opened core.exe in edit and added core romname.sms and saved it and closed it down. In Gameex config I changed command-line to core.exe [ROMPATH]\[ROMFILE]

It seems that the program doesn´t find the rom and I have checked rom link twice.

You dont need to link Freezesms.exe at all?

No no no. Just leave the core.exe file alone once you renamed it from the core.dat file. "core romname.sms" was just an example of the command line needed to launch a rom. So that command line would equal this in GameEx:

core.exe [ROMPATH]\[ROMFILE]

Editing the core.exe file as you did would error out cuz it doesn't know what romname.sms is. Leave that out.
