Stuttering sound on all games

Hi there.

this is my first post so i am a noob at this whole scene.

I have mame32 & gameex setup fine and my roms in place etc. My problem is when i launch any game it plays fine but the sound repeats slightly all the time and really takes away from the pleasure of playing these games again. Any help would be greatly appreciated? My specs are p4 3.2 oc`d 3.6, 1gb ram, raptor drives, 9800xt 256, sb audigy 2 zs all on an abit ic7 max3 board oh and logitech z680 (i think) surround sound if this helps. Cheers

in my setup in mame32pluss it is running in 16bit 800/600 rez,

in the default game properties under the tab miscellaneous the only one's that have a tick are

(scip games intro + auto restore)

and the tab for advanced the only one's that have a tick are (use directdraw +switch rez to fit +switch

color depts to fit)

i find that if you use vsinc the sound starts to shudder but i use vsinc in gameEX and that solved it for me

does mame play the game correctly outside gameex without the sound issues?

If it doesnt you may need to upgrade your processor or use an older version of mame as the new versions are very CPU hungry or try a version that isnt created by the mame team mame32 plus and a few other have code written for AMD and pentium processors that take advantage of the diffrent architectures.
