pinballx keycodes

Hi,

 I'm sure I'm going to be redfaced by this one, but, I don't really want to put any more buttons on my pincab if I can avoid it. I'm trying to add "!" as the exit / quit key. I'm using Zebs nudge and analogue plunger and in notepad can type "!" with flipper "shift" + start "1"  = "!" Obviously I can't add it into PinballX as it takes the first keypress as gospel, so all I can do there is shift and it won't let me press 1 and get where I want, so i thought I'd sus the XML and see if that worked, problem there is it has keycodes but I'm not savvy enough to know what keycodes it is looking for. ( ascii I can do but a 2 digit keycode is no ideasville for me ) Can anyone advise where I can find a keycodes list please. I've had a search of the forum, but can't find what I think I need

I'd be curious to see if it works with PinballX.

For my cab, I just placed an exit button under the cab. The forward facing part of the cab just has start, extra ball, and launch buttons.

Looks like ! isn't a code ( well I'm sure it is but it isn't easy .. so I might try = key for something and + as the shift and see if that works )

Nope, it didn't work for me, I'll have another crack at it over the weekend when I have some more time, but it might be the extra ball button as quit for me I think. Kinda works, start button is select at the moment, flippers scroll and  magnasave for page / letter jump. coin reject for credits, the rest I can do with a wireless keyboard.

I'm thinking you should be able to get it working, unless it's something to do with how Zeb's board works. I'm using an iPAC board on my setup. Holding down the Player 1 button, which normally registers as "1" is shift and then I hit the Player 2 button for the "escape" key. This is probably a dumb question, but do you have "!" set as your escape key in the setup?

Hi, yeah, I have it set, and I think I can add it through the ini file rather than the settings wizard, but "!" isn't a java keycode i think is the problem for me, so I'm looking at trying to remap the zebs to =/+ as they are also a good shift combo, and have java keycodes... alternative is I grab another ipac if I get stuck, they are pretty good at what they do !
