Real Color DMDs with PinDMD v3

Hi, can anyone assist with an issue I have with PinballX and PinDMD3?

 

I have the DMD working fine with standard DMD videos (not color).  However, if I go into the PinballX settings and change the setting to use Color DMD, the only thing I get is a repeating PinballX generic logo in white.  I poked around and read some posts that I need to make sure my color .f4v files are in a folder called "Real DMD Color Videos".  I made that change, but when I launch pinball X, it shows the generic logo in white for all the tables that I don't have a color video file for, and the DMD goes blank for all the ones that I do have the .f4v file for.

 

I *just* upgraded to 2.21 and now notice that I can sometimes get 'some' video to appear... it usually breaks up and looks pretty bad, even though it *is* in color... just sort of odd.

Is the issue with the f4v file, or should it be working, or is something else potentially hosed up?  The only Color DMDs I've run across were all in f4v format...
