Audio ambiance not working

Hi

GameEx 6.31 in use. I am using the three arcade ambiance mp3 files. I've tried specifying the directory where they're kept or a specific file and so far, I can't get the sounds to work. I have sound effects enabled (other sounds work in GameEx, startup sound, select sound, scroll sound) and I've turned up the volume to 100. Still nothing. Is there something else I need to do?

Pointing it at a specific file (use the browse feature to ensure accurate path/filename) and selecting 'yes' in the Play Ambiance field of the Audio Settings section of your GameEx Configuration Editor should be all you need to do... Mine works just fine as far as I know, other than the fact that I'm only using one ambiance file we're both using the same version so...

Sheesh, I'm my own worst enemy. I'm using VNC to control my cab (cause it's really hard to read some of the menu items on a TV screen) and sometimes the screen doesn't refresh properly. I had Play Ambiance set to No. That feature works!
