Integrated Iso Mounting Support / Bad link in Setup Wizard

Message sent to Tom to review this.

I am beginning to think that there may be a compatibility issue between the integrated ISO mounting and the more recent versions of Daemon Tools Lite. I have not had any luck getting images to mount.

I am using Daemon Tools Lite 10.2.0 with no addons and Emulator 26 is the one I tested with. This is a Windows 7 64-bit machine.

As a test, I attempted to mount the included test.iso (from Adultry's Virtual Drive Loader plugin) using the [VIRTUALDRIVE] command. The GameEx log returns that the image could not be mounted.

If I use the same test using Adultry's Virtual Drive Loader and replacing the [VIRTUALDRIVE] command with [DTLOADER], when the 'game' is run, the iso WILL be mounted for a few moments before returning to GameEx.

I should also point out that the DT Loader files I am current using are here.

So the issue is with integrated support, not my plugin. Right?

Correct Adultry.

I included you as a CC in my message to tom since your plugin is working (and I figured you would most likely share the list of changes you made with him).  :)

Hi Tom,

The new executable does allow an image to be mounted using the [VirtualDrive] command. However, when the runitgame.bat runs it shows a message to "Install ISO Support" and then the batch pauses. If you unpause it, the batch file will close and the emulator will run and successfully display the game.

TEST #1: The simple test I provides (Emu 26) to test whether an iso would mount independant of the emulator executable. In this instance, runitgame.bat does not pause, but the bat does contain a message "Install ISO Support".

TEST #2: The second test was with the NeoGeo Emulator (Emu 13). In this instance, the iso would mount and the runitgame.bat would pause displaying "Install ISO Support". After a key press, the emulator loads successfully and the game can be played.

I should add that the only two emulators I have that require mounting are SSF (Saturn) and NeoCD (NeoGeo). All the other image-based emulators I use have integrated mounting support. I also do not have any isos to test SSF (only mdf and cue). I suggest that a few others who use the GameEx VirtualDrive functionality may want to take part in testing.

Hi Tom,

I ran the same tests again. I attached files for Test#2 only.

TEST #1 (Emu 26)  The simple test with only an iso to load worked fine.

TEST #2 (Emu 13): NeoGeo Emulator. In this instance, the iso is mounted, but the runitgame.bat still includes a PAUSE command before launching the command line of the emulator. The "Install ISO Support" message is no longer present; and after a key press to allow runitgame.bat tio continue, the emulator loads successfully and the game can be played. It appears that all that is needed is to remove the PAUSE.

Let me know if you need anything more.

I wonder if you have debug mode enabled for Emu 13? I can't think of any other reason why there would be a PAUSE command? If debug mode is enabled that is normal behaviour.

My apologies. I did forget to turn debug mode off for Emu 12. I retested and it worked just fine.

Did you want any testing done on a GameEx_Lite version as well?

I think the Lite version should be fine. I see nothing that would make me think it would work differently.

Thanks for your help. I will get an update out today.
