New MAME feature. This release adds a new clones setting for when updating the MAME list to allow a listing of original games unless the clone has a different name. This is a good way to produce a clean list without missing too many games.

Hi Tom and first of all thanks for this great update.

I want to know if this is for the games that have the 2 players version and 4 players version.... I.E.: The Simpons or Sunset Riders.

Normaly i prefer the 2 players version clone because i can select the player from the 4 avaliable, but the way I use to do that is using the filter "don't filter these roms" and adding here the 2 players version of the game and deleting from my Mame list the 4 player version.

Is this new feature for this scenario? Can you post an example on how it will work with one game you know this feature is workiing well?

Hi, the new feature is not for that scenario. Its pretty much as I said: To be able to get a decent and clean MAME list without duplicates if you have a full set. So with this new feature you should be able to get both Puckman and Pacman as Puckman is an original non clone, and Pacman is a clone with a different name. It checks the name without brackets.
