Game Ex looks great! Just need help with a few little tweaks

Wow, Game Ex Looks fantastic! I have just a few things to fix.

I am having problems with my snap videos. I downloaded them and made a file and stuck them in with the rest of my Mame32 files. Yet, they don't play when I am in the menu screens. I then tried unzipping them and they still don't work. I have the pathway set up wrong or something. I am working with mame 163.

any help would be great.

There's a pretty good chance that all you need to do is install LAVFilters, which are the recommended video rendering solution for GameEx. You can find the appropriate download via the LAVFilters project repository, or alternately you can also download them from the PinballX home page.

Let us know if this resolves the matter for you. If it doesn't, please refer to the GameEx: How To Ask For Help link as seen in my signature, being that we'll probably need to take a look at your support files in that case. Thanks a bunch and good luck!

Take a look in the Wizard under the MAME settings section too. Sometimes your artwork is in a different location on your main drive than what was defaulted into the file path when you installed gameex. I actually had a space in my file path for some reason and that was causing me an issue. <-- User error! ha

Also, try two or three different themes. It may be something with the location of the snap video in the theme you are currently using.

Obviously, this is all speculation until you post a config file.

Awesome! something is working right, there are games running. But, its only one out of 20 games, I guess I got an incomplete list.

Yep, I just looked at how many files were in my folder and it was only 502. Looks like I need to track down some files
