I don't think there's a 'better' or even 'recommended' solution here; it just comes down to a matter of personal preference. PinballX is a completely different frontend from GameEx, so if you've not used it before, there may be a learning curve for you. Having said that it really is a great frontend, and widely regarded as the best pinball-centric frontend currently available. Here's the most recent version of the PinballX help guide if you're interested in looking into PinballX. Bear in mind that if you go this route you'll want to launch PinballX from GameEx as an external application.

If you'd rather avoid all of that it's certainly possible to setup Visual Pinball through GameEx as well, although it's not necessarily the most straight forward endeavor. Here's a pretty well written guide on how to accomplish that.

Long story short; choose which ever method makes you happy! They're both equally valid and good choices.

Hi. I know very well pinballx because i built a flipper. .. You sai it s a different frontend and it s correct. Is it possible to run pinballx from gameex? A frontend in a frontend or not? Because my cabinet will boot directly in gameex.. If not possible i will setup visual pinball in gameex. Thanks

If you just want to launch pinball x from gameEX it should be just like setting up a PC game. I just named an emulator section "PC Games". Then I pointed it at a folder that contains shortcuts to the PC games (you could put the shortcut to Pinball x in it).Rom filter = *.lnk,. Command line = ""[ROMPATH]\[ROMFILE]"", Working/Rom Paths are both your folder containing shortcuts.

Hope that's what your looking for. It was somewhat difficult to decipher your english. Good Luck.
