Great job Tom, all model 2 games on the list seem to work fine, including the gun games!

The only problem I can still see is that 3 games supported by the Model2 emulator still do not show up on the "MAME" Model2 list. Dead or Alive, Last Bronx and Pilot Kids.

Thanks for letting me know. I've fixed the missing games, and just released 6.16.

Why is my desktop showing between games in screensaver mode all of a sudden?

I'm guessing someone forgot to turn something off before compiling. ;)

It shouldnt be showing the desktop. Hideos.exe should be in the background. No I didnt mess up. The screensaver now minimizes GameEx to free up resources. On slower systems it caused frame skipping.

So, what could it be then? *entering cheeky mode* Do you want to see a log or how can it be "fixed" even though you say it ain't broken? ;) *exits cheeky mode*

I'm running GameEx on my 2.8 ghz Pentium IV Acer Laptop with 512 mb RAM btw and have never seen skipping.

It was reported a while back, and I saw it when I underclock my system a few days back.

I don't know why your seeing the desktop, the screensaver works no different than how launching MAME games does now. You should see a black background which is hideos.exe. Maybe this process got closed. I assume you tried rebooting, and tried running the screenaver straight away? Still an issue? You may see windows maximizing, restoring but you deffinitly sould not see the desktop.

It may be your graphics card showing artifacts of previous video memory. I am almost certain its not affecting everyone.

It's working like before now. See, what I did was update my gamelist, but since GameEx always crashes when I update the gamelist using my own theme, I have to switch to one of the defaults as a workaround. I went out while the list updated and forgot about it, then noticed the desktop showing between games.

This must be caused by some graphic mode setting I guess. No need to waste your time on it Tom. :)

You have a download link in your personal message inbox. The theme is not complete, just for MAME and other Emulators so far. And you have to use "smallest fonts" for it to look right.

Hey emph you can put any ini setting in Theme.ini to override the default settings. If you have to have smallest fonts for your theme, then you can put that setting in Theme.ini.

That sounds sweet! Could I please have an example to follow? I have a one year old so it's kinda hard getting time for trial and error. ;)

From GameEx.ini...

This should be in the theme editor options, so it's always recorded/saved in the theme.ini, otherwise every theme will look crap on some systems. Actually, I've already made a feature request about something like this, so I'll quit yappin' about it so I won't go on everyone's nerves. ;)
