randr
Direct b2s backglass sounds super! Anyone try this yet!?
randr
Had to try it! Is good but can we select option to not display speaker panel?
Tom Speirs
Hi Randr, how would I go about doing that?PS: But I will look at the speaker panel. It would suit me too on my 3 screen setup.
randr
I would think you could read the file the table uses for directb2s as that remembers speaker panel or not?
Tom Speirs
I need an example. I thought B2SHideScoreDisplay might do it but it does not seem to.
randr
Thought it was one file...or registry? I asked over at vpf someone will know. Thanks Tom
randr
I don't think there is any registry items, so screenres.txt and B2STableSettings.xml would be my understanding.
Tom Speirs
Thanks. I guess we don't need PinballX to do that? Would be nice to know what the setting is though.
randr
Not sure. I know I leave the panel up an a few due to lights needed under Dmd. But it's a few only. So you can have pinballx read the xml?
Tom Speirs
I really don't know how to do it right now. Although happy to take a look.
gtxjoe
ahh randr, so that is why you asked on VPF. B2S is probably looking for the screenres.txt file which should be where the tables is located. Here is the screenres.txt format if needed1920 <-- Playfield screen X resolution (width)1080 <-- Playfield screen Y resolution (height)1280 <-- Backglass screen X resolution (width)1024 <-- Backglass screen Y resolution(height)2 <-- Display number for the backglass monitor0 <-- offset for the backglass on the selected display (normally left at 0)0 <-- offset for the backglass on the selected display (normally left at 0)600 <-- Width of the DMD area in pixls200 <-- Height of the DMD area in pixels1280 <-- X position of the DMD area relative to the upper left corner of the backglass screen0 <-- Y position of the DMD area relative to the upper left corner of the backglass screen0 <-- Y-flip, flips the LED display upside down
randr
Gtxjoe the issue is pbx showing Dmd speaker panel on all tables.
Tom Speirs
It sounds like I just need to hide the speaker panel in the code but again I am still not sure how to do this. How do people do this with their tables? Thanks for your help.
randr
When you have table loaded with b2s as if your going to play table, right click on directb2s you can choose what is shown then it's saved in the xml
Tom Speirs
Fixed in 2.
randr
Wow! I will check it out in about 39.5 min!
Tom Speirs
You will have to set them again if the names are different but there was an issue with it not saving or reading the settings.
randr
Still not working. Now some don't show at all. Some show with panel some do not. So must not be reading xml correctly yet?
Tom Speirs
Ill need an example if something does not show but like I said you may have to set some again if the table script uses a different name.
Tom Speirs
See if this fixes the ones that are not showing.vPinMAMELauncher.zip
randr
I would say better. Performance is great! maybe to fast? And is skipping? Table will load with proper backglass and settings but for example: Twilight zone dx9 has directb2s in pbx and so does physmod5(both with speaker panel) but night mode does not show any b2s. When tables load they do not show speaker panel. All named different with matching b2s. But some tables only one version either physmod5 or dx9 and don't show and is named right tried resetting settings for b2s but still wouldn't show in pbx. Example would be Dracula
Tom Speirs
To be clear, are you saying some direct2b2s files simply don't display at all or is this just the speaker grill? And are you saying it was working in 2 but not in 2.01?To turn the speaker grill on or off you will need to do this within PinballX not the table. Nothing I can do about that if the name in the table script is different.
randr
Name is same in table script that I can say for certain. Some tables won't show directb2s at all in 2.01. If I recall this was not a problem in 2.0. I would need to re install 2.0 to verify.
randr
Hope someone else can chime in with results
Tom Speirs
If you could get me the direct2bs files that don't show it would be really helpful. Could you upload them maybe?
