Here's the end result! The 1080p recording I did came out so bad I couldn't bring myself to even upload it. I still can't believe I could achieve this...

The recording quality of these videos are amazing and almost 0 frame frop but editing with these files is a bitch. I can't figure out why my rendered video is out of sync with the audio by a tiny margin when I do nothing but convert it essentially.

Hmmm, are you capturing straight to mp4? If so you should probably make sure you switched to mp4 audio too in the audio tab. I also have sync issues when i enable mutlichannel audio - not sure why yet as i've only been using a couple of weeks.

Vid looks great btw!

I'm actually recording in .avi I could do the .mp4 with my AMD accelerator. idk how I managed it, but I was able to edit it in Virtual Dub without any errors and was actually able to make a really nice video snap for Mario Power Tennis that I uploaded to emumovies :) (The old video snap was poopy) I was not able to do this before. Fraps would make emulation so slow I couldn't record without some type of huge frameloss. I lose almost none with this recorder.

Here it is :)

I've not tried any emu capture yet but intend to see how it performs in 1080p at least with PS2 and GameCube, maybe Wii too. If successful i'll post my results ;)

I've been real impressed by it so far, although i've only tried a handful of Steam/PC games @1080p.

And yes, i use V-Dub too to get it readable by most editors, then i compress with Avidemux - coz i know it inside out :) Most editors that i have tested won't read the capture otherwise :( All the high end ones do, but i'm not going to pay premium prices for something that i might use occasionally.

I can't even tell you how impressed I am. I haven't done any PC games yet but from what I've already tested with Dolphin and PPSSPP with enhancements and upscaling I could never imagine it possible with my current setup. I can play the games just fine for the most part I just was never able to record at the same time, until now. :D And yeah it was hard to figure out until I tried Virtual Dub and its really easy now with H.264/x264vfw compression.

Did a tester with PCSX2 and FFX! Bare in mind that i have the EU copy so it can't be run over 25FPS (that's the limit we had in them days) and i opted for no enhancements, other than x3 internal res :) No widescreen hacks, no speed hacks NOTHING. The only alteration is the x3 internal. Another thing to consider is that i recorded in 1080p, but as i used zero hacks, the final is actually 1440x1080. The original is 4:3 afteral, not 16:9 (which my monitor is) :)

BTW, 3GB down to 140MB before YouTube, i say before YT coz it has a knack of screwing stuff! - You knew that though i'm sure :P

DISCLAIMER: The camera shake is no one's fault - it's how Sony rendered models in the PS2 days. Not much can be done about it i'm afraid.

pcsx2 isn't doing me right. But I've only tried it with Godzilla Unleashed. Seems you have way better luck with it.

Well even though my specs are quite low, they might be considerably higher still. I put my specs and the settings i used on the the vid page :)

EDIT: I dunno what is up with YT lately but it keeps on adding two vids every time i upload :o

This one seems to be the original

Altered previous post to include the actual vid.

It has to be that i3 you got running in there.

I have an A10-5800k Black edition, 8GB of DDR3 RAM @ 1600 HD7750+7660D crossfire

Yours is lookin pretty good. But as long as I can record on most of my stuff I'll be happy.

Action! looks pretty cool. Does it have multi-monitor support?

btw - what did you do with the vcr in the end, uber?

I have a PoS capture dongle that's probably only good at ripping VHS tapes. Anything else like video games look like Sh** on it. Don't think it does multi monitor but I haven't had it for long.

It can only record one monitor at a time at present i believe (switch them with F8) but i wouldn't be surprised if it becomes a feature at some point as it's a popular request.

Tried to see if I could get that DVD recorder fixed but thats just not a practical thing to do its basically worthless. Been loving Action in the meantime though! :)
