[RESOLVED] Zinc not working anymore

Hi!

I was using Zinc since a while but nowadays it seems to be broken

In the setup wizard, i'v enabled Zinc but it doesn't seems to launch correctly.

When i launch for example Street Fighter EX 2 +, the script is :

@ECHO OFF

chcp 65001

D:

CD "D:\Emulators\Zinc"

mame.exe sfexp2 -rompath D:\Emulators\MAME\roms

It doesn't launch Zinc at all!

I've set up Zinc in the config Wizard like this :

Zinc path : D:\Emulators\Zinc

Zinc EXE : zinc.exe

Zinc options : -renderer=ogl_renderer.znc --controller=controller.znc

It was working with those settings before (has been set one year ago and working), is the Zinc support broken ?

TBH I loathe ZiNc and haven't used it in a loooong time... I wouldn't be surprised if that were true. However unless mame is in that working directory it shouldn't work that way. I also find it odd that your usual mame variables aren't being passed either.

I thought maybe it was a bug that was fixed recently but since you opted to not post a log I can't be sure. Please try downloading and re-installing GameEx from the web site.

Just out of curiosity, why use it? MAME is better than adequate nowadays.

I just have tried SFEX2P within MAME and for me software rendering in MAME is not as good a OpenGL render in Zinc

That's why i've used it. Whenever Zinc is an old emulator, it renders better 3D games (for me) than MAME

No worries, I was just curious.

Yeah I'm betting its the bug I just fixed for QuickLaunch. Please download the latest version 1.1.1 or re-download the GameEx exe from GameEx.com ... This was fixed with a silent update.

PS: It looks like its working to me anyways...
