acces denied/ gamex cannot overwrite files

i spoke too soon on my last fix, somehow it gave me version 5.48 so i uninstalled that. when i tried to reinstall 6.09 it gives me errors saying cannot delete files(code 5)....five files in particular

1)gameexconfig.exe

2)iterop.wmplib.dll

3) microsoft.directx.dirextinput.dll

4)dvdcore.dll

5)interop.dvdcore.dll

-i cant remove them manually either, i get access denied. the config file that is left behind, shows up with 182 pages of words in the bar selections.

im a registered user, but now have no gameex, help please!

EDIT--(gameexconfig.exe was locked on in my processes. problem solved there but still cant get a more app&games button to appear after the new re-install!!)
