sms2169
Is there another emulator for atari 7800, pro system has been said to be noncompitable with windows 7 64 bit and is the only one listed in gameex. I get it loaded with sound but never shows a posture. Ive tried to set up mess to take care of half a dozen emulators or so but is way to nvolved for my experience, not nearly as easy as mame but have also never come across any good tutirials or videos. Emu7800 seems fairly new and compatible but it's not listed in gameex but I think I can import it if someone has advice. I think I set it up and put it in my emulators folder and import or something like that. Thanks
nullPointer
I have ProSystem working just fine through Windows 7 x64. It's noteworthy that this emulator doesn't support zipped ROMs though (all mine have a *.a78 file extension). In GameEx you could get around this limitation by enabling Zip/7-Zip/GoodMerge/RAR support if you didn't want to unzip all your ROMs. I have noticed that (on my system at least) this emulator takes a while to load. Here's my emulator config if it's helpful:[Emulator]RomsInFolders=Falseimagenotfound=E:\Emulation\Assets\no_img.pngMergeSets=TrueCDCheckFile=CDCheck=FalseRandomMostPlayed=TrueShowMostPlayed=TruePlayInScreenSaver=TrueGamesIn7Zips=FalsePCGame=FalseSelectionMusicFolder=PlaySelectionMusic=FalseDontShowInfo=FalsePlayMusic=FalseCustomBackground=ExcludedFiles=LaunchAfter=LaunchBefore=OLDatZip=AlsoLaunch=Debug=FalseShowDesktop=TrueRemoveBrackets=TrueCapitals=FalseReplaceUnder=TrueReplaceDash=FalseSendKeys=WaitBeforeKeys=MapKeys=TrueWorkingPath=E:\Emulation\Emulators\ProSystem_13ControlPanelPath=ManualPath=CartPath=E:\Emulation\Assets\Atari_7800\CartBoxPath=E:\Emulation\Assets\Atari_7800\BoxTitlePath=E:\Emulation\Assets\Atari_7800\TitleSnapPath=E:\Emulation\Assets\Atari_7800\Video_AVIRomPath=E:\Emulation\Roms\Atari_7800[TO]MapFile=ConfigFile=[Mapping Off] Exit (Process Close)Database=[Console] Atari 7800RomFilter=Command=ProSystem -Fullscreen 1 -MenuEnabled 0 -Zoom 2 "[ROMPATH]\[ROMFILE]"StartPageLogo=7800StartPageName=[Console] Atari 7800TitleText=Atari 7800Info=Atari 7800 emulatorWebsite=https://home.comcast.net/~gscottstanton/RequiredFiles=DownloadUrl=http://www.gamesdbase.com/setupwizard/emulators/download/ProSystem.7zRating=Enabled=TrueSystem=Atari 7800Category=ConsoleEmulator=ProSystemVersion=1.3lastgame=
sms2169
Thanks I will compare. I can't get it to run in pro7800, just black screen with sound so might be plug in issue. I might try to reinstall because I have it working on my xp cabinet but one guy here or byoac had said it wasn't compatible. My files are a78 also
sms2169
Could you email or post your pro system setup outside of game ex if not I should be able to track it down on Google

I'm running version 1.3 if that helps. nullPointer
A wild double post appears!Well I never like seeing a bunch of errors appearing in any log, and I didn't realize that the Pro System emulator hadn't been updated since 2008(!) Looks like it's time to go on the hunt for an update. I'm a little bit tied up at the moment, but when I get a couple of free seconds I'm going to take this one for a spin to see how she goes
sms2169
Yeah me too because my log looks error filled and mine won't show picture only sound, I tried bios and no bios no intro sets good sets nothing changes maybe gameex could update the emulator download and setup I noticed most of them are way behind on updated versions and that's what I've been trying to do lately is get the new version as my graphics have definitely improved with those and certain bugs.
