[RESOLVED] Pinball X stalls at "Loading" a table

For some reason Pinball X has stopped working. It was working fine, then I added an additional table and it stopped loading any tables after that.

When I select a table from the menu, it shows the "Loading" screen and just stalls out there. I can see the backglass image on the 2nd monitor. But the game never completes the table load. Pinball X isn't hung, as I can press ESC and go back to the main menu.

I have tried deinstalling and reinstalling Pinball X and that didn't help.

I have deleted all the XML scripts and created a new one using the Game Manager that has just one table on it - and that didn't help

I confirmed that none of the plugins are enabled.

The game I am testing with plays perfectly in Visual Pinball. So, I know the table isn't the problem.

I am including the log file. In it you can see at 20:15:24 Pinball X loading the table.

Then at 20:16:17 I gave up waiting and ESCaped out and closed Pinball X (I have waited as long as 5 minutes to see if the table will eventually load).

The verify section in the setup is fine. I will include that also.

I have run out of ideas.

I am running this on:

Windows 7 Pro (32)

3GHz Core 2 Duo (8400)

4 GB RAM

nVidia GeForce 9300

2 monitors

The table plays fine outside of Pinball X. There's something in Pinball X that is failing and I am stumped, because it was working fine for a while.

I finally solved it - whew.

In the Pinball X log there's the line with the Visual Pinball "play this table" command. I copied that entire line and pasted it into the Windows command box and ran it. I saw that Windows popped up a small window asking me to confirm the running of this application. Ahh Ha!

I deselected the option to "always ask for permission" and that solved the issue. So, it turns out that the reason Pinball X was stalling was that darn Windows popup asking for confirmation was hidden in the background.

Thanks for your help anyway.
