Roms not adding up after update

I have over 9000 roms for mame. When I audit the roms with mameuifx64 all but about 500 show as correct. When I do an update in Gameex it shows I have about 3000 mame games. Is that normal? Not that I am complaining about 3000 games but I would have thought the roms that passed with the mameuifx audit would also be available in gameex. I looked in my log and didnt notice any errors.

Any suggestions on what to look for?

Most likely the No clones unless better setting. Check all of your filters, and then update your list.

Yes, also try deleting Japan; from the filter. This will not only give you the JP clones, but all the games that are JP only

Just to confirm, this is completely normal. By default GameEx filters out all the crap.

Japan ain't crap! They gave us the Skyline, the Mitzy Evo, the RX7, the S2000... OK they're all cars - you're right.

Correct, but there is normally an English equivalent for the older Arcade stuff.
