Previous versions of Mame and GameEx, a generic control panel indicating what buttons worked on a game would appear while waiting for a game to load. I am missing a setting that I must have changed or not assigned the correct file in an update. I cannot find this simple error in the forums.

Any help to remedy this and have the control panel picture be showing while the game is loading would be appreciated?

Frequent watcher on the forums.

Hi there,

Make sure you have controls.ini and that GameEx is pointing to it in MAME Settings. It's important that with all MAME support files you use the versions that match your MAME version, so you will need .145 controls.ini.

EDIT - Sorry i forgot to mention, also make sure Enable Panel Viewer is set to Yes in Enable Disable/Features :)
