I was just wondering what are the best compatible controllers to use with bnes 0.91? I would like to use a tomee or some type of usb snes controller to give a close to realistic feel. I am unsure how to setup a controller for bnes as I am brand new at this. Thanks guys.

You can use anything if you use the bsnes core in RetroArch, since it supports DI, RAW, and X-Input.

At least thats what I would do. ;)

I got it Retroarch working, I apologize for being a newb lol. Now I just have to get some help to determine what the best snes usb controller would be easiest to configure.

I use the Tomee SNES USB controller(s). They were cheap on eBay and seem to work well. Very easy to configure. I also use an actual SNES controller with a SNES to USB adapter, and those can also be found on eBay or Amazon and I believe Gamestop carries those as well. There is also a guy who modifies real SNES controllers to USB and sells them on ebay, so that may be an option as well. It's really just a matter of preference I suppose, but the Tommee controllers feel an look like the real thing, however I've heard people complain about them not being durable... but I haven't had any issues with the two I have.

Thanks man, do you use these with retroarch or the standalone bnes?

I've used them with standalone versions of bSNES. I use Snes9X as my emulator of choice running through Game Ex, so I haven't messed around with Retroarch :)
