How do you exit an emulator with a gamepad?

How do you people quit your emulators and return to gameex with your gamepads? I have a USB NES controller with just 4 buttons, can I configure it to have like SELECT+START quit ubernes, or nestopia, or whichever one picks?

I'm in the middle of a transition from XBMC and currently setting up Windows on the htpc so I have not tried yet.

Welcome to the forums aharu,

And yes, you can do that no problem! Load Setup Wizard> Input Settings. Make sure Enable Gamepad/Joystick = Yes. Scroll down to Joystick Input and make sure Enable Custom Jostick Controls = Yes. Scroll down a little bit more and you will find "Global Exit". In the Joystick Exit field, click the "browse" button then press the button combo you would like to exit emu's (make sure to "Clear" the default buttons first)
