Hi all, i just made a pincab using only visual pinball and of course pinballx.

I'm french, so if i do english errors, you can tell me the errors my text ;)

90% is working fine.

I recently updated to the latest version of pinballx, but i have 2 problems , maybe someone know how to solve it :)

I juste use wheel end backglass images for my tables.

I use a 2 screen cabinet, with windows 7 32 bits.

1) - Sometimes ... and this happens "randomly", when windows start, pinballx go on the 2nd screen (backglass). i didn't notice something special where this happens.I close it then reload with the mouse connected and it goes ok on the playfield. 90% time it's launching fine, i checked the options... can't see why this happen. I had the same problem with previous version.

2) - I have 80 tables, all working fine if i launch manually visual pinball (with no compatiblity mode option). But for 2 ones on pinballx (maybe some other one i haven't already played) i had stange things.

Creature from black lagoon, the backglass (B2s) load correctly, but the playflied is just a back screen.

Monster bash, table is very long to load (same in visual pinball), and the dmd always go "behind" the backglass (and not if i launch it in visual pinball).

For these 2 tables, i solved the problem just using compatiblity mode for visual pinball( windows xp sp3).

So this is not a "real" problem" because now it works fine, but i noticed (maybe just an false idea, need more tests) that some tables run "smoother" if i set not compatibilty mode.

Thanks for answering

Edit : I noticed that the 2nd problem occurs on more than just the 2 tables i wrote. And for some , event with the compatibility mode set to xp sp3, randomy i get a black playfield, launching again the table and it works.

1) I had the same issue with Win8. This is caused by the video drivers when PinballX is launched too early. Starting PinballX 2 or 3 seconds later should solve the issue (You can manage this by disabling autostart in PinballX setup and set up the autostart manually with the windows task scheduler (you can add a start-delay here)

2) Do you run PinballX and Visual Pinball as admin? Which VP Version do you use? (I recommend 9.9.0)

Thanks for answering

For the 1st problem, i will try to work on it. Maybe just adding a program that waits a few at the startup, it could be an option for pinballx... wait x seconds before lauching...

For the 2nd , yes i use all programs in administrator mode, i changed all the b2s to start as exe, and made visual pinball run a compatiblity and all is ok now.

Edit : On test with a program "startup delayer" ,i add 20sec delay to pinballx, it seems ok now.
