MNMax21
I was wondering if there was a way to customize what graphic displays in the image sections on the theme. Sometimes the image is box art in an emulator, which I really like. Then, other times, it's a snap or a title screen. The right image in the particular theme art always a video, but the left one rotates between imagery depending on emulator. Based on the video being static, I figured there must be a way to do it. u-man
It depends on the stuff, you have for each emulator. if you want to show box-art instead of snap or titles, just point to the box-art path at, where you have the titles or snaps. this is done in setup-wizard at the emulator section. this way you can trick / fool GameEx. this works at least for me. a little cheesy but it works. .
DazzleHP
Yes, image box 1 will always show snaps & vids (vids first, then snaps if no vid) and image box 2 will always show titles first, then box i believe. As u-man said, if you want to always show boxart instead, just point to them in the Title Snap Path of the emulator section. If you are using Krakerman's theme you will then always get your boxart on the left and your vids/snaps on the right
MNMax21
Thanks guys. I am at work right now. I haven't had a chance to look into this. Just as a follow up (sorry, prior to checking myself), is there something that I missed in the wizard where you can select the order of sequence on the artwork (or in the .ini, etc.) or are you saying to delete the files extensions for the other artwork? I like being able to check out the artwork in the game menu area, so I'd like to keep it all. Just change the preference sequence. THanks! u-man
just read the post of DazzleHP carefully and you will understand. you dont need to delete something.
MNMax21
Oh, duh. Haha. I think I see. So I make the title designation actually point to the box art file or whatever thing I prefer. Thanks

Zero Dreams
Here's a good thread for some questions.1.) Is there any way to adjust width of the menu as it seems to be locked in to sweep in the screen an fill it? I'm trying to isolate it in it's own bar on the screen and I don't want it to span the entire width. Please don't say no.2.) Is there any way to have to menu bar track scroller scroll the entire screen?3.) Also, how to I take a screenshot in GameEx.....newbies. MNMax21
Pretty sure you can adjust the menu in the theme editor. I guess I'd need to know what menu you're talking about for sure. You'd need to edit the specific theme you are currently using. Menu bar track? The bar on top and the scroller both can be adjusted in the theme editor. The screenshot deal. I have no idea. I know that adultery has a plug in called high score snapper. But that is for use in mame when playing a game in the high score competition. I didn't realize you couldn't just take a control print screen deal.
