I have searched and posted here before, but i thought i would try again. I just sent this letter to Mr. Speirs bcause i am stuck and cant find an aswer. So i thought i would try here one last time. Some body help please.

Mr. Speirs,

First off let me just say game ex rocks and I love. So I donated a little more than you asked for. I think it was worth it, but I have a problem and I do not mean to bug you. I just seem to find an answer anywhere else. My I have two problems, so I will make this short and sweet do to the fact that I know your a busy man. Problem one. When I try to play a game using my joystick I get this black square that pops up with volume and a few other things whenever I push a button. It only happens with button in particular. I have been to the forums at your sight and at the world site and know one seems to be able to help me. I was wondering if you could help or at least point me in the right direction. The last problem I am having, is this. I cant get project 64 to work with game ex and knowbody's solutions in the forums seem to help. Can you please tell me where I should go or what I should do to makes it work.

Thanks for you time and patience, keep up the good work,

Damian Guptill

Hi, glad you spelled my name right :)

The reason you probably did not get a reply is there's not enough info in your message even for me to understand why you have these problems. You need to be very and much more descriptive in explaining the exact issues your having, and exactly whats happening. As it is now I don't know. I mean you would not expect a Doctor to be able to cure you just by telling him your not feeling well.

I also wanted to say this forum is the only place to get support and help, so your right to ask again, and your certainly not bothering anyone. We all generally like helping people.

OK, now please help me help you, and as best as you can explain the issues much more descriptavly, with just the facts, and provide detail and examples of exactly what is happing. Take a lot of time over this, and check your next post several time for good english etc before hand. Take as long as you need.

In addition, and just as important, as it says in the forum guide and tips, post your gameex.ini file and gameex log. Also provide information about the system your running, its hardware and software. Then maybe there is a chance.

Here to help.

Tom.

Perhaps the "black square" that's popping up is some volume application on your PC. Or perhaps your referring to the volume control built into GameEx. The former sounds likely because the latter is overlayed neatly on the GameEx screen.

As for Project 64 config. What problems are you having specifically, and have you checked the user config pinned topic for a Project 64 setup you can copy then just change the directories to where your emulator and games reside. Definately need more info to help though.

Thanks Guys. I have actually fixed my controller prob. Now I am playing again. Awesome.

As far PR64 working. Well it still is not. Where do i check the user config pinned topic for a Project 64 setup. I am so new to all of this and so I am still learning.

Look just above the forum where it says Topic Title and go to (User Configs and Databases Uploads)there you will find a heap of n64 and other emulater databases.

Well I went to where you said to go, but unless I blind, I couldnt find anything for N64. Other nintendo stuff sure, but no N64. Please help.

There is a default N64 config included with GameEx, just use it. If you've overwritten it then just use the import feature for an emulator in the config.
