PSX1.4

I've been trying to figure out how to get psx 1.4 to run from GamEx. It seems like it would need a wrapper, similar to the Chankast one. But I can't figure it out. Can someone help?

I prefer this emu to epsxe because it runs a couple of games that epsxe does not. One in particular - rival schools. I've tried every psx emulator out there and this is the only one that would play this game. Plus it plays everything else I have, including chrono cross.

Hope someone knows how to do this.

This is the right place for this post. The user config area is for posting user configs, not requesting them.

  From the readme said:

Running games

The emulator supports .cue/.bin CD images, the easiest way to run a

game is to run the exe then select "Insert CD image" from the File

menu.  It is also possible to start a game from the command line:

psx.exe c:\psxgames\mygame.bin

Note that you will get best performance running in full-screen mode.

Press ALT+ENTER to switch between full-screen and windowed.

That should be enough info to figure out the rest of the config. Just a matter of copying one, changing the paths etc. You may need to send the ALT+ENTER to get into full screen. If you have success, post it in user configs.

I didn't need to do anything special for pSX to work for me, thats why I chose this emu.

For me its loading all my bin and img files. Use magicISO to convert any games that need converting. I had to sendkeys to make it go fullscreen durring bios load. I believe the tag to remove this screen is -fastboot .... thats if you really wanted to get rid of it, personally it brings back good memories

hi,

I was looking for a PSX emulator and I stunmled on your topic i was using epsxe but could only get it to load images mounted on a virtual drive. I just downloaded PSX 1.4 but cant seem to have it load any of my images or cdz. I have Gefroce MX4000 with 64MB everything is running fine except whrn I load a file nothing happens.

Just so ya know...

Inserting an -f in the command line after your .exe and before your path/file...

psxfin.exe -f "[ROMPath]\[RomFile]"

...makes PSX run in fullscreen. I'm not much for the sendkeys option of any emulator.
