..."Fixed Instructions as PNGs not displaying in multiple monitor setups.

For those using athird monitor as a DMD display this version adds an option feature to auto position the PinMAME window on your DMD display. Note if the window is rotated it will be fixed next time you launch the table. If it is still rotated you will need to modify the table. It will be hardcoded there."

After the update install I now see my screens minimizing after exiting a table and going back to PinballX. This takes away from the experience a little bit and reminds you that you are still in a Windows environment. Plus the fact that it was not visible before 1.75

Thanks

I did not change any settings in the setup after the install ... let me check and see what it is set for ...

Are you sure it is nothing that changed on your end? Did you enable the pinmame positioning or turn it off?
.

.

I do not see this at all ... I think I am not looking in the right spot maybe?

Also I notice now that it is all 3 screens that seem to be minimizing to taskbar ... I see that happening now as I have had time to play it more

I still don't see that under display settings ... that page has not changed in this version that I can see

Its there. Position PinMAME. Its turned off. Nothing has changed in 1.75 from 1.74 that I am aware of that would cause this issue which is why I mentioned it. I never touched that code as far as I know. Could you try normal exiting versus in game and then exiting.

Ok so it is when I first push my exit button when PinballX brings up the menu for exit - resume that I see each screen window minimizing to the task bar for only a second ... I will make a video here shortly. Thank you Tom for looking at this as it is really not a huge problem but more of a "hey why is it doing that now"

I rolled back the ingame code. Please try the attached.

This release also adds touchscreen support if anyone wants to try?

Left and right of playfield are left and right, select is anywhere in the middle and exit menu is top left.

Cheers.

Tom.

Wish I had a Windows tablet :)

We have lost our 1st gen iPad to our 2 year old so the wife wants a new one .... trying to talk her into a Windows tablet too.

I was able to play for about a half hour with this file Tom, sorry to say that it did not help. It is doing the same thing it was in the video link I posted. I played 5 different tables and exited completely out PinballX one time to see if it mattered and it does not.

I do not think the issue is due to pinballx but you can turn off "window animations" under system -> performance. This will stop the windows animations from occurring and resolve the issue if you are looking for a seamless cab experience.

Hey Tom ... Thank you and I am sorry to put you through all that .... I run Win7 but I run Basic Theme with no Aero .... a few weeks back I made a new desktop background and set it to the wallpaper, then I did not get to play for about a week. I did not tie the two events together. When I changed the wallpaper something changed my other animation settings and that is why I now see the windows closing animation.

Thank you for the time spent and helping me look into the correct fix.

hey tom,

is there some kind of touchscreen hook that can be added to exit visual pinball?

as of now when i hit the part of the screen that brings up the standard visual pinball exit menu then you get the editor and once you close that pinballx returns to the selection screen.

or should i request the devs add a touchscreen exit that closes vp directly
