i have noticed that if i plug extra game pads in when gameex is running it does not reconise then till i close it and reload gameex (not a full reboot) i was wondering it you could add a feature possible on the Exit menu to restart gameex eg close it and reload it this would save me having to have a keyboard and mouse on the pc..

or is there any other way of geting it to reconise the pads

thanks tom keep up the good work :D

GameEx should re-scan for gamepad devices upon exiting a game. Is it working?

I have the same problem, but I just leave the gamepads plugged in all the time. If GameEx could detect when a new one was plugged in that would be cool...

good info, im building usb controllers this comming week :)

So say I had 4 controllers plugged in via usb when I started gameex, they would all be active and working? So maybe there could be a way in config to enable/disable these controllers to be loaded each time gameex loads, so no matter what the drivers are loaded with gameex and ready to go.

Or like Michael said, add an option to exit menu (Reload, or Pad Synch)

I have two usb gamepads plugged in and they can both control GameEx when configured correctly in the GameEx config.

If only one is plugged in when GameEx is started and the other one is plugged in after GameEx is started, then the second one won't function until GameEx is restarted. This is only really a problem if neither of the gamepads are plugged in when GameEx is started because then you have to use another method to exit and restart GameEx.

if all the controllers are pluged in when gameex starts i have no problems im using usb ports on the front pannel of the case, So its not a good idea to leave them in or i would.

i thort the reload gameex would be a lot easyer than gameex having to rescan usb devices

i have make a vb application to reload gameex after a few seconds. I just cant make it close Gameex without a task kill command.

This post might help.

It shows how to keep relaunching GameEx when it closes.

You could alo probably create a small bat file that could be added to External Application, that simply closes GameEx and reloads it.

Ill write a small .net app later myself to do this if I get time.

Cheers

Tom.

Heres a small app which closes and restarts GameEx. Just add the .bat file as an external applicatio, and place both in the GameEx folder. Note it does kill gameex, so probably not a good idea to use too much, but knowing .net and XP its probably quite stable.
