When i bought the latest Prince of persia game, it was automatically integrated into my Media Centre. Since then i've been trying to figure out how to add games to the 'More Programs' section.

Finally i found out how to do it :) This link explains it:

Also if you want to add an image to the game's thumbnail, add the following to the mcl after the 'run' line:

example:

startimage="C:\MCE Games\Call Of Duty 2.png"

thumbnailimage="C:\MCE Games\Call Of Duty 2.png"

(this is all done by using the notepad by the way, save the file as '.mcl' instead of '.txt'. You can view other mcl files by dragging the over the notepad)

heres the resulting screenshots:

You can also add Dreamcast games if you use the 'chankast launch' method.

Its not as sophisticated as GameEx, but its a nice way to play your favourite pc games quickly + adds a bit of eye-candy to MCE.

Not really, Gameex plugins straight into MCE, ideally GameEx would show your favourite, or last played games next to 'my games' on the start menu.

It might be possible; i know 'My Movies' sends png images of the films you last watched to:

C:\Documents and Settings\your_computer_name\Application Data\Microsoft\eHome\mcl_images

Maybe GameEx could record the last 3 games played & export their png's to that location just before it closes? For the moment i thought people might want quick access to their favourites this way.
