Fusion Emulator help

Well hello folks, I have been away (5y to be exact) in the frontend abyss lol

Ok just trying to setup Fusion Genesis Emu. Managed to get it running sweet outside the GameEx. Once I load a game inside GameEx it loads and everything but I don't have any controls.

If I quit Gx and load up the emu the controls are back, any ideas?

Just a thought

Go into your Fusion folder and load Fusion.exe and look at your control setup, if they are correct close Fusion and look for your Fusion.ini in the same folder and right hand click/properties and set the file to read-only, then load up GameEx and launch Fusion. If it doesnt work please upload your GameEx.ini and Log files.

Read this for the location on these files

Do you have other emu's setup and if you have do the controls work for them?

1. Are your controllers Wired/Wireless

2. Are you using Joy2Key, Xpadder etc...

I had this problem with Windows 8 and my controls not working for any emulators in GameEx but they worked outside GameEx.

I had to disable UAC on windows to make it work properly but lets hope it doesn't come to that.

Great idea, never thought of that, making it read only. I will give that a shot.

I am using Xbox 360 wired controller & I am using WinXP 64Bit

I also have an issue with MAME which could be the same issue. Out of MAME is have vertical games running vertical. In GameEx it starts them all Horizontal. If I change the setting in GameEx to rotate vertical games, it doesn't do anything.

I just tried makeing it read only & still the same outcome.

If I try useing another frontend it works sweet, so there must be something in GameEx fusion setting that is knocking out my controller. It works fine when I try zsnes, just not with fusion.

Hi Beaps, would you mind uploading your GameEx.ini and Log as requested by KRC. This will ensure we can give you the best possible advice for your particular setup and will take a lot of guesswork out of the equation. Otherwise we'll just be trying to thread a needle in the dark

Follow THIS GUIDE for the required files and once you have them you can hit "More Reply Options" in bottom right of reply box to attach them to your post.

I sorted it...

I loaded up GameEx the selected a game. While the game was playing I then went into 'Task Manager' and killed the HideOS. Changed the Emu to windowed & quickly redefined the keys. Then set is back to full screen.
