old bug seems to be back...

I'm on 1.67. Full disclosure... I've gone over the 340.

But the old bug is for me, random pf's and bg's get stuck in attract mode. I intend to fire up the old hp xml gen but haven't yet...

I've got a lot of extra vids in the folder too if that matters. When pbx renames and creates new I typically leave original.

1.68 seemed to do the trick so I let it run all day while at work. When I came home the bg was stuck on Cheetah and pf was on Future World. Wheels were spinning with games...

Today it's Gulfstream stuck on bg and Pinball Pool stuck on pf. Running 1.69

I would check you codecs. 1.68 and 1.69 run for weeks on my setup.

I to still get the crash. Still random and can go hours with no problem and other times crashes within minutes if running. Tried reinstalling codecs but still happens. So strange.

Is there any log or is it a hard windows crash?

For me there's no crash the vids just stop scrolling. The wheels still spin and you can select the table that the wheel is on.

Its worth trying the latest codecs with default settings. Like I say I got it to a point with my machines where it will run for weeks. There were some minor issues with video playback but I am pretty sure I have them all resolved now.

I've been on default shark codecs for some time... Are they updated? Should I re-download? I will confirm I'm still on default...

Yeah, they are updated all the time. I do tend to keep the one on the web site with the adware removed fairly up to date too and I have tested that one. I am referring to resetting to default settings.

Are you running the 32 bit version or the 32 bit version with the 64 bit addon?

Have 64 bit os but running 32bit codecs...reset codecs to defaults and yet to have a crash...but can act like that so time will tell. Leaving it on for test

If possible please try out version 1.70, which seems to have fixed some persistent bugs for a few different people.

for the record(i stayed at .68) dont yell at me! i reset codecs to defaults and have not had a crash in weeks! funny thing really. but is working fine now!

I did opposite, sorry too! And in 1.7 had same prob. Didnt report because I knew I forgot codecs. Got swamped in holidays... I will do codec today and see...
