GameEx + MAME + ArcadeVGA + 15Khz monitor

Hi there all of you.

I am under the impression that a lot of other GameEx users have a system similar to mine:

GameEx + MAME (Windows command line version) + ArcadeVGA + 15Khz monitor - running on a fast PC.

Has any of you experimented with the MAME syntax (-triplebuffer -vsync -monitor arcade -tweak and so on (MAME syntax list)) and the GameEx configuration settings to get optimal use of your arcade monitor (as arcade perfect as possible)?

Have you tried to experiment with AVres, Mamewah resolution Tool, Tom Speirs own SetArcadeVGAMameRes Tool or similar? What did you find out?

Already looked at that thread (and tried to search for info on the subject - couldn't find any). The thread doesn't cover anything else than the -triplebuffer syntax and a discussion on playing vertical games on horisontal monitors (which I'm not interested in since my monitor is rotateable).

Maybe none of you have tried to optimize the default GameEx settings?

The only reason why I'm asking is that I'd like to avoid a lot of work experimenting systematically with all the relevant MAME syntaxes and a resolution tool. If someone had done the ground work, it would be really nice of them to share their findings.
