Hey guys,

Really like what this piece of software has to offer but I'm having a hard time getting it to load any games on my new htpc. So far I've tried sega genesis and N64 which both work outside of gameex. I am running a i54430 with a gtx 660 and 4Gb ram. Am I missing something obvious here?

Hello! Welcome to the forum ambustion!

I see your that your command line for Project64 is:

Command=Command=Project64.exe [ROMPATH]\[ROMFILE]. Wrong. :)

It shoud be:

Command=Project64.exe [ROMPATH]\[ROMFILE]

Not sure how did you enter that typo... however, open the setup wizard --> Emulator Setup and in the appropriate box type:

Project64.exe [ROMPATH]\[ROMFILE]

Oh, I found the same error again for the Genesis:

Command=Command=Gens+.exe [ROMPATH]\[ROMFILE]

It should be:

Command=Gens+.exe [ROMPATH]\[ROMFILE] in the ini.

But forget the command= that's in the ini - you just open the setup wizard and, like above, type:

Gens+.exe [ROMPATH]\[ROMFILE]

Did you use the Setup Wizard utility, or did you try do edit GameEx.ini manually?

However, let us know if the above commands work for you, and we are here to assist for any further problem that could possibly occur.

Have a good configuration time!!! ;)

Don't forget the quotes:

"[RomPath]/[RomFile]"

Looks like someone's been dabbling in UNIX and/or Linux! ;) Windows needs the back slash as the directory separator.

"[ROMPATH]\[ROMFILE]"

Ahh yeah my bad. I have indeed been playing with a Linux server. Lol!

Project64 works with and without quotes (on Windows, at least): one of the few emulators that doesn't get confused by spaces in the command line.

Though, your advice is wise Adultery: a good habit to add quotes.

@OP:

In short, add these lines in Setup Wizard:

Project64.exe "[ROMPATH]\[ROMFILE]"

Gens+.exe "[ROMPATH]\[ROMFILE]"
