stigzler Posted July 25, 2013 Posted July 25, 2013 Any of you guys running these platforms on arcade cabs?If so - any recommendations of games that work well on arcade cab setup?e.g. Tekken 5 and Wipeout Fusion are just amazing via PCSX2!!
Adultery Posted July 25, 2013 Posted July 25, 2013 I run Dolphin for GC and a few WiiWare games. It took me a while to tweak it just right so it ran well on my cab. Not overly complicated to set up, but I don't use arcade controls on my cab (mine uses 360 pads) so can't help ya there.
stigzler Posted July 25, 2013 Author Posted July 25, 2013 Yerp - Dolphin my last major emulator to set up!My cab's gonna have usb ports so will be using PS2 Dualshocks alongside control panel controls. 4 player games.Just wondering which games are going to convert to joystick/buttons combos neatly. Mind you... I am thinking about how to mirror dualshock on a cp layout!thanks adultery
DazzleHP Posted July 25, 2013 Posted July 25, 2013 I use 360 pads too so can't help on the arcade controls, as for games though you are pretty safe with most GC games as they were made for "partyin" with the others then general advice would be appropriate here i think - beat 'em ups/fighters, shmups and platformers all work well mostly - stay clear of RPG's and strategies if you wanna be cab friendly (with a few exceptions of course)
celly Posted July 26, 2013 Posted July 26, 2013 Dolphin is such a good emulator. I was connecting my wiimotes via bluetooth but couldnt get an ahk to load each one upon game launch. Even fail with Glovepie. I gave up and moved on to just using my 360 controllers.
stigzler Posted August 6, 2013 Author Posted August 6, 2013 Got Dolphin installed and running. DOES take a bit of tweaking + still got lots to do - still some sound issues. However - GC games look promising if can get running smooth and no sound issues.Interestingly, the Wii games seem to run smoother! However - not sure how well they're gonna run on a cab, because of the whole controller method. Haven't got/never had a Wii so not overly familiar with the system.Might just look at getting a Wiimote and peripherals and setting them up to run on PC. "How hard can it be....." (how many times I said that)
