Play Randomly broken?

Hi, first off, GameEx freaking rules! But, since I upgraded from version 5.76 (or maybe 5.77), Play Randomly for videos hasn't worked for me. When I select it, the video list will refresh and the left menu disappears ("Create Snaps, Play All, Play Randomly"), leaving just the snapshot on the left. This also causes the Back button/Backspace to stop working (It just refreshes the folder list.), and I have to use Home to get out of the video list.

I've tried it in different folders with varying numbers of videos, with different video codecs, neither of which seem to make a difference. Play All works fine, though.

Any help would be appreciated. Thanks a lot!

UPDATE: I just went and played with it for a bit, and I have some more details that might help debug it. After I choose Play Randomly, and the left menu disappears, there will just be a snap on the left. However, if I go up or down the list, the snaps will go away as well. Then, if I select a video, I will get a "Launching" message at the bottom of the screen, which doesn't usually happen. Then, the screen will go black for a few seconds and then return to the list. Going Home and then navigating back to the list of videos will allow video playback to work again.

Wow, here's another strange update that should definitely help crack this.

I have a directory structure like this:

D:\VIDEOS for unsorted videos

D:\VIDEOS\SIMPSONS for Simpsons episodes

I navigate to D:\VIDEOS and choose Play Randomly, and not much happens like before. I click on the SIMPSONS folder, and it runs the Simpsons MAME rom!

Apparently, after clicking Play Randomly, GameEx thinks that I'm in a MAME rom list instead of a video list! I just coincedentally have a folder with the same name as a MAME rom. This would also explain why I get a "Launching" message when I try to play a video after Play Randomly. It's trying to run a MAME rom!

Speaking of random. Does anyones "play random game" perform blisteringly slow? Mine surely does. I realize it has to recurse through all the games setup, but is there anyway to make it faster? It definitely deters me from using this awesome functionality Tom.

To be honest, it should only be slow the first time it's run during a session, on first run it loads ALL emulators but then does cache them.

The Random Video feature is fixed my end, an update should be released within the hour.
