naborneo
Ambient Occlusion v1 - Download Page Ambient Occlusion 3D Logo Set - Download Page Alright so really this is just a basic theme to show off the 3D logo set. But it was about time to get this out there. I'll add a link soon for Extras: The full 3D Logo set and PSD files if you'd like to change up the background wallpaper. Go nuts. Anyway, there is a custom menu file you may find in here along with the font used. Ask any questions and leave any comments, Enjoy! 3D Logo Set previews can be seen below the Spoiler Button Original thread can be found HERE, but all future updates will be post on this thread.

naborneo
ps: somehow first link doesnt workI got a "Your submission was approved" for the logos but not the theme... even though I posted the theme first, so whenever that file gets approved, it's all yours. DazzleHP
Them logos turned out just awesome naborneo! Catered for all angles too, much respect (downloading) I may just finish a theme yet thanks to you Quick nerdy question - how long did it take you roughly to render all them?? naborneo
Quick nerdy question - how long did it take you roughly to render all them?? It took about a minute per image, so a little longer if their was more detail in the texture, It looks like in total about 6 hour to complete. Keep in mind I threw this job to my work computer that has 16 Hyper-Thread cores and 42GB of RAM. My Mac Pro at work spanks anything I have at home. So I would build everything on my laptop then dropbox'ed my file back to the work computer to do all the calculations.

KRC
Just like to say this looks awesome, and those logos are the best I've seen in a long time, kudos!Yeah very cool indeed I can get pretty close to doing this in Photoshop but it's extremely time consuming and these that are done in C4D just have that "Cutting Edge", which Photoshop will not match, No matter what. Not having to worry about gradient mask and shades of textures, just letting the lights deal with that. Also the reflection, big selling point in 3D for people that ever want to do something like this. Most people just work in a black abyss room and you lose some of the realism. There is some J.J. Sega flair fo you. haha
KRC
Looks very nice,I just did a little experiment in PS, With the tools I have it's the best I can do The major difference is I'm not working in 3D I'm working with a 2D canvas EDIT: I've added a GameEx example also, It doesn't look too bad considering it's done in PS. I really like the rapping light around the SEGA
KRC
Several months ago I had about an hour's worth of time in C4D and I didn't know where to start, Don't get me wrong, it is a terrific program (Having seen youtube footage etc..) but it's just not for me. Also it would put me in Bankruptcy

I use to help run a group that is still active www.chicagoc4d.com if you ever feel like looking into it again... Also if you are ever switch to Adobe Creative Cloud Master Suite, After Effects now comes with a "Lite" version of Cinema 4D.Out of complete flattery, I had to try and recreate your SEGA, ...

naborneo
So hey, this whole animated logo thing just might work.Take a look at the video links below. I tried to do a screen capture so you could see what it looked like, but the capture doesn't give it justice. It's all choppy and terrible looking. The real view is nice and smooth and loops very well.I still need to work on matching the background, but I didn't try to hard, just wanted to see if it would work at all. So we'll just call this a proof of concept.Screen Capturehttps://www.dropbox.com/s/rbwinlgsil6n2x3/Rec.mp4Logo Filehttps://www.dropbox.com/s/u8urmx2nb2p9az9/sega%20genesis.mp4
